Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is the one who initiated contemporary research on children's memories of eyewitnesses, as well as the role of children as victims in the court system. Professor Goodman has published extensively with numerous grants, and has been recognized with several international and national honors. Her work has been with numerous governments and organizations all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a fellow of many professional organizations including that of Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is an active part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
